Rousseau & cie is an industrial sheet metal company created in 1945.
From 1958, Rousseau began manufacturing the unique traffic light model for the city of Paris. This production will last 46 years.
Two different models are built:
- the historic 1958 model, of asymmetrical design, with incandescent lamps
- the symmetrical model with fluorescent tubes from the 1980s
These traffic lights were delivered turnkey, fully equipped and wired.
Rousseau sheet metal will then be integrated into the Robardey group.
The manufacture of traffic lights will cease in 2004. The city of Paris model will be manufactured from 2004 by another sheet metal company : Grolleau.
