The Grolleau company was founded in the 1950s.

In 2000, Grolleau joined the Flextronics group.
In 2004, Grolleau took over the market monopoly for the supply of Ø200 three-colour and two-colour signals, and repeaters for the town hall of Paris, in collaboration with the manufacturers SER, JP Vezon Equipements and ECI for the supply of LED light sources.

Until the end of 2015, the contract for the supply of pedestrian signals for the City of Paris was awarded to SER and its Challenge pedestrian signal. Following the cessation of activity of the SER company, Grolleau took over this market with the manufacture of a new City of Paris pedestrian signal, this is the last signal that Grolleau lacked, which now provides all of the display equipment for The city of Paris.
