Joinville-le-Pont : Playtime of Jacques Tati
Don't look for this place, it doesn't exist. This is Tativille, a town created from scratch for the filming of Jacques Tati's film, Playtime, in 1967.
This city was reconstructed in the studios of Joinville-le-Pont (94), which were at the current location of the A4 motorway. This city was so faithfully reconstructed that several functional crossroads equipped with Silec Standard traffic lights have been installed there. The archive photos of the shoot opposite are from the Getty image bank.
