The Feu Routier website is an information site on traffic light signals founded in 2006, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2016.
Having become an association under the 1901 law in 2014, its objective is to safeguard the French heritage of road signs, which has continued to develop since 1900 and which is an exception in the world. Our work is oriented around the collection and analysis of archival documents (newspapers, specialized magazines, catalogs and documentation, old photos ...), the constitution of an inventory as complete as possible of all the materials marketed in France (visualization and controllers), as well as technological monitoring of experiments and new products.
The members of the association are also active in the restoration of old equipment (traffic lights and controllers) in order to prevent this equipment, which is part of our national heritage, from disappearing as urban renovations take place.
