On the regulation side, Troyes is equipped with a central traffic regulation station operating with the Gertrude system, which manages a total of 150 crossroads (71 in Troyes, and 79 in the communes of the agglomeration). About 900 sensors are connected to this PCRT.
The PCRT of Troyes also manages the priority of the public transport network at intersections according to the density of traffic, and since 2018 it also manages the absolute priority of priority vehicles for firefighters.
The city of Troyes has been equipped with traffic light signals since the 1960s. First Silec signals and controllers, then many traffic lights from the Lille manufacturer Théry Hindrick, until the 1990s.
From the 2000s, Lyon-based manufacturer SEA Signalisation took over the city's traffic light market.
